Shirt Tail Parade
3:30 pm
Begins at Blackfly Park and goes to Info Centre
Wear your favourite pyjamas and bring your stuffies
Prizes Awarded for:
Oldest, Youngest, Cutest, Best PJs, Most Bears, & Most Historical
Hosted by: White River District Historical Society

 

Reconciliation Ceremony
4 pm - 6 pm
Held at Winnie the Pooh Park
Mayor Angelo Bazzoni and Chief Johanna Desmoulin invite
everyone to join in a Reconciliation Ceremony.

 

Winnie's Show and Shine
6 pm - 7 pm
Held on Superior Street
Register your vehicle by Contacting Brandi.
Entry fee is $20 and will earn you a ballot to vote
and a promotional t-shirt. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places prizes will be awarded.

 

Burnout Contest
7 pm – 9 pm
Held on Superior Street
Do you think you can smoke out the competition?
Entry fee: $20 and one buy back available for $20 - CASH PRIZE

Bush Concert
Doors open at 9:30 pm, concert starts at 10 pm.
Held at Community Centre Ballfield
Chris Krienke and the Strawdawg & Mike Trudell will be performing LIVE.
Licensed area – Age of Majority required.
**Must present I.D.**
Entry: Ages 19+/$20, Ages 15-18/$10
Designated driver available for drop off only within town limits

 

Saturday, August 21st

 

Corn Hole Tournament
ALL DAY
Held at the Community Centre Ball Field
Find a friend and pre-register as a pair to enjoy a day of corn hole!

Ages 16+ Entry Fee: $20.00 per team

 

 

Winnie-the-Pooh Parade
11:30 am
Theme: Winnie and the Hundred Acre Woods Bush
Create a float or decorate your bike or wagon to showcase the things that our northern region has to offer.
Line up at the Tourist Information Centre and end up at the Community Centre
To view parade, park along Elgin and Winnipeg Street

 

Beer Gardens
12 pm - 8 pm
Held at Community Centre Ballfield
Age of majority required for purchase of alcohol.
Mike Trudell will be performing LIVE.

 

Lumberjack Show
12 pm - 4:30 pm
Held at the Community Centre
Entry: $5/person, kids 4 and under/Free
Come out and watch the Great Canadian Lumberjacks perform skills such as axe throwing,
chainsaw carving, wood chopping, and cross-cut sawing.

Held Behind Ball Field

Fireworks
Starts at dusk (Approx. 9:30 pm)
Held at Little Lake by Robins
This sparkly show will take your breath away. Line up your vehicles in the
parking lot of the Continental Motel for the best view.

 

Double Feature Drive-in Movie
Starts at approximately 9:15 pm
Location: Winnie the Pooh Park
Entry fees: 1 feature: $5/person
Double feature: $10/person
Come out for a classic drive-in style double feature.
The first feature film will be a family friendly film and the second will be for an older audience.
Movie titles will be announced on the Winnie's Hometown Festival Facebook group soon.

 

Sunday, August 22nd

 

Family Fish Derby
NOON – 4 pm
Crocker’s Lake, Hwy 17 West
Free BBQ & PRIZES AWARDED
Entry: Adult/$5, kids 16 & under/FREE
Bait is provided by RJ’s Bait
Sponsored by LCC, Kids & Cops, and No-Ron Mechanical

 

Bingo
Held at the Arena
Doors open at 10:30 am, Bingo begins at 12:00 pm
Entry fee: $50 at the door (12 to view)
Includes: 3 Jackpots of $1000
Extra Games: Mini Warm-Ups, Early Bird and Bonanza
